  • Man fractures hip after fall at Totnes bridge

    August 01 2016

THE DART RNLI lifeboat was called out on Saturday afternoon to help the ambulance service after a man suffered a fractured hip after a fall at Brutus Bridge in Totnes.

Ambulance crews requested that the coastguard launch the lifeboat to help in the extraction of the man at 5pm yesterday.

However, before the lifeboat could arrive, ambulance crews had managed to extract the man, who was suffering from a fractured hip and other injuries, and took him to hospital for further treatment.
